Introducing J Group Japanese Sires:
The
three Sires below were born in Japan. All 3 were registered with the
Japan Wagyu Registration Association (Zenwa) and all three achieved
HONGEN status - the highest registration possible within Zenwa
and
were classified by MAF for use in all of Japan.
On
export from Japan, their previous registration was removed from the
Japan register. No more official progeny information was thus
forthcoming.
Following export from Japan these Sires were boarded at Hawkeye Breeders
at Adel, Iowa, USA. Hawkeye collected Semen from all 3 Sires;
001,
002 &
003 for export to Australia and for storage in USA and Canada.
Subsequent to the BSE outbreak in Japan and the closure of Japan for
Wagyu export, the 3 Sires were ultimately purchased from Westholme by
the USDA thence
euthanased
and autopsied for BSE. They were completely cleared in this
testing procedure.
All
semen produced by these Sires whilst resident at Hawkeye is owned by
Westholme and available for sale in Australia in selected other
countries. Please see
semen sales or enquire
here. Semen from the sons of these 3 Sires, whose dams are from the 84 Japan-born and registered and exported Donors owned by Westholme, is being collected and is now available. These Sires are classified A Group, Australian Born, and their details are found further below.
