July 2006 - Herd leaves Tarana
July
06 saw 6 truckloads of Westholme fullblood females, calves and bulls
leave a cold and dry Tarana behind to make the long journey north to
sunny Queensland. The final shipment trucked in August. A total of
1100 head have made the trip to Wylarah and have all settled in well.
Chris, Lyn and staff said a sad farewell with a tear in their
collective eye.

B• September 2006 - Spring
calving commences
As at mid-September, 50 calves have been born – the first of many
Westholme Queenslanders!
As Wylarah had been set up as a
backgrounding station, infrastructure changes are under way to develop
facilities into a world class Wagyu stud operation.
C• Progeny Testing Program
The company has embarked on a progeny-testing program, where we
will be testing Westholme progeny from Colac in the south to Mt. Isa
in the north. Results will be posted on the website in the future.
